Pool Closings & Winterization Details

Full Service Pool Closing/Winterization includes:

  • Winterize underground and above ground plumbing lines
  • Winterize Pool Equipment: Pump, Filter, Heater, etc..
  • Lower Water as Necessary
  • Includes Anti-Freeze(up to 5 gallons), Winter Plugs and Gizmos
  • Crews will chemically treat the pool and secure the Winter Cover
  • Winterizing Chemicals included 
    • For best results, prior to your closing, please be sure your pool is cleared of debris
    • Chemical levels during the 6 months your pool is closed is just as important as when its open. Please be sure your chemicals are in the ideal range to ensure they can be properly balanced at the time of closing
      • pH              7.4-7.8
      • Alkalinity    80-120
      • Calcium    250-400
      • Chlorine         > 1

Save $25 if you have a mesh safety cover and can lower your water prior to our arrival! (Lower your pool water roughly 2" below the bottom of the skimmer to receive the discount).

Additional Service/Items:

  • Pre-Closing Water Treatment $90 (Included with all weekly and bi-weekly cleaning packages) - Ensure your water is safe for your pool during the winter, crews will treat your pool and allow the chemicals to circulate 2-7 days prior to your pool closing.
  • Pool Vacuuming - Large Debris Vacuum only  + $50
    • Pool will receive a leaf vacuum to remove the majority of the larger debris in the pool. Fine debris such as dirt and algae will not be vacuumed
    • We highly recommend cleaning your pool of the majority of debris before closing. Pools with excess leaves and debris can extend opening times by 3-10 days
  • Salt Cell Cleaning + Add $50 (manufacturer recommended 2-3 times per year for salt cell longevity)
  • Cartridge Filter Cleaning + Add $75
  • Hot Tub/Spa Winterization + Add $75

Anchors - replaced on as-needed basis only to ensure the cover is properly secured and safe

  • Threaded Safety Cover Anchor - $12 each
  • Spring Safety Cover Anchor - $18 each
  • If less than 5 anchors need to be drilled, the cost is $55 per anchor. 
    • More than 5, a quote will be provided.

Covers
For Winter Safety Covers to be repaired or replaced, this is a multi-week process and submitting your request for your safety cover asap will avoid potential delays when you are ready to close your pool this fall.
