WHAT KIND OF POOL COVER DO I HAVE?

SAFETY COVERS

  • Spring-loaded straps connect to the cover and anchor it into the concrete to hold it in place.

  • The cost averages between $2,400-$6,000
    • Standard Mesh - Most popular mesh safety cover with 12-year Standard Warranty
    • HyperLite or PROMesh - 50% Lighter weight with 15-year Standard Warranty
    • Solid Safety covers - Most Expensive 
  • Once it is on for the winter, there is typically no additional upkeep to worry about. These covers normally last 10–15 years.

TARP / WATERBAG

  • In ground pool water cover that uses water tubes to keep the cover in place, supported by an Air Pillow underneath. Cover must have water pumped off regularly throughout the winter.

  • The cost averages between $250 -$500

  • The tubes sit on the edges of the pool cover to keep it in secured. These covers typically last 1-3 years, along with the tubes.

AUTOMATIC​

  • Automatic pool covers provide safety, facilitate the pool’s maintenance, and translate to cost savings since they aid in conserving heat

  • The cost averages between $10,000-$15,000

  • Autocovers can be very durable with the right care and maintenance. They occasionally will require repair on parts/components.

SAFETY COVER REPLACEMENT PROCESS

 
To begin the process, it will require your current cover to be sent to the manufacturer or measurements by our team.
 

 

1. 614 Pools will either pickup and ship your winter cover to the manufacturer for inspection and exact measurements to be taken OR our team members will come out and take measurements of the pool and send to the manufacturer for a quote.

 

2. Roughly 1-3 weeks later* (highly variable lead times during September/October), 614 Pools will contact you with details and pricing for repair or replacement options.

 

At this time you can review the price, and if replacing, you’ll choose the type of cover, as well as the color (Blue, Green, Gray or Tan). If you decide not to repair or replace your cover, there will be an additional fee for shipping and return of your original cover.

 

3. Once you place the order for your new cover or repair, the cost of the cover is due in full and 614 Pools will store your new cover until you are ready to close your pool in the fall and you will receive a free Pool Closing, with the purchase of a new cover!
