 SALES CALL SCRIPT

STEP 1 - Gather Customer Information

Opening line:


“Hi, this is [Your Name] call from 614 Pools. How are you today?”

Wait for answer..

"Good, I am calling in regards to your pool opening request and would like to get some information so we can get you started."


Ask and record the following:


Name: “Can I get your full name?”

Address: “And what’s the service address for the pool?”

*get zip code*

Pool Info: “Do you know the approximate size of your pool - dimensions or gallons? And is it in-ground or above-ground?”


STEP 2 - Present the Service

“Great - let me tell you a little about what we offer. We are heading into our 17th season in business, so we have a lot of experience and we really know the secrets to a clean and clear pool during Ohio's spring season.”


Option A - Standard Pool Opening ($425)

“Our standard pool opening is $425 and it covers everything to get you up and running. We come out, remove the cover, start up all your equipment, and then we test and balance your chemicals - and the chemicals are included in that price. We also brush the pool as part of the visit. It’s a complete, worry-free opening.”


Option B - 4-Visit Opening Package ($825)

“Now, if you want your pool truly swim-ready - not just opened but actually clean and sparkling - we also offer a 4-visit opening package for $825. That includes the full opening plus three additional cleaning visits. By the time we’re done, your pool is crystal clear and ready for summer. A lot of our customers love this option because it takes all the guesswork out of those first few weeks.”


STEP 3 - Qualify & Collect Contact Info

“Does that sound like it’s in the ballpark of what you’re looking for?”


IF YES: “Perfect! I’d love to get a formal quote sent over to you with all the details. Can I grab the best phone number to reach you at, and an email address I can send that to?”

STEP 4 - Conversation Starters (Build Rapport)

Use these naturally throughout the conversation - they keep things warm and help you tailor the pitch:


  1. “Did you use a service to close the pool last fall, or did you handle that yourself?”
  2.    (Helps gauge experience level - DIY customers may need more reassurance, service customers are already sold on the value.)
  1. “When are you hoping to have the pool ready to swim this season?”

   (We recommend scheduling about 2 weeks before they want to swim - use this to create a sense of urgency and get them booked.)


  1. “Have you ever had any issues after opening - like the water turning green or equipment taking a while to get going?”
  2.    (If they say yes, this is a perfect lead-in to pitch the 4-visit package as the solution.)
  1. “Do you have kids or grandkids who use the pool a lot? Any big summer plans?”

   (Builds rapport and reinforces the importance of having the pool ready on time.)


  1. “Is this your first season with this pool, or have you had it for a while?”
  2.    (Newer owners are great candidates for the full package. Veteran owners appreciate hearing about your 17 years of experience.)

CLOSING THE CALL

“One thing I’d mention - we do recommend getting on the schedule about 2 weeks before you want to be in the water. That gives us enough time to get everything balanced and looking great. And our schedule does fill up as the season gets closer, so it’s definitely worth locking in sooner rather than later.”


“I’ll get that quote right over to you. Thanks so much for your time, [Name] - we’re looking forward to getting your pool ready for summer!”
