Ask and record the following:

"Can I get your full name?"
Name: ______________________________
Address:
"And what's the service address for the pool?"
Address: ______________________________
*make sure to get zip code*

STEP 3 — BUILD RAPPORT (USE NATURALLY THROUGHOUT THE CALL)
Use these conversation starters to warm up the call and tailor your pitch:
"Did you use a service to close the pool last fall, or did you handle that yourself?"
(DIY customers may need more reassurance; prior service customers already understand the value.)
"When are you hoping to have the pool ready to swim this season?"
(Recommend scheduling about 2 weeks before their target date — use this to create urgency.)
"Have you ever had any issues after opening — like the water turning green or equipment taking a while to get going?"
(A "yes" here is a perfect lead-in to pitch the 4-Visit Package as the solution.)
"Do you have kids or grandkids who use the pool a lot? Any big summer plans?"
(Builds rapport and reinforces the importance of being swim-ready on time.)
"Is this your first season with this pool, or have you had it for a while?"
(Newer owners are great candidates for the full package. Veterans appreciate hearing about our 17 years of experience.)

STEP 4 — PRESENT THE SERVICE OPTIONS
"Great — let me tell you a little about what we offer. We're heading into our 17th season in business, so we really know the secrets to a clean and clear pool during Ohio's spring season."
OPTION A — Standard Pool Opening | $425
"Our standard pool opening is $425 and it covers everything to get you up and running. We come out, remove the cover, start up all your equipment, and then we test and balance your chemicals — and the chemicals are included in that price. We also brush the pool as part of the visit. It's a complete, worry-free opening."
Best for: Customers who are experienced pool owners and comfortable maintaining it themselves after opening.
OPTION B — 4-Visit Opening Package | $825
"Now, if you want your pool truly swim-ready — not just opened but actually clean and sparkling — we also offer a 4-visit opening package for $825. That includes the full opening plus three additional cleaning visits. By the time we're done, your pool is crystal clear and ready for summer. A lot of our customers love this option because it takes all the guesswork out of those first few weeks."
Best for: New pool owners, customers who've had green water issues before, and anyone who just wants a hands-off, swim-ready pool.
ONGOING CLEANING PACKAGES — UPSELL AFTER OPENING
"While I have you — once your pool is open, are you planning to handle the weekly maintenance yourself, or would you be interested in having us take care of that for you too?"
(Wait for response. If interested, present the cleaning package options below.)
"We offer three flexible cleaning schedules to keep your pool crystal clear all season long:"
OPTION 1 — Weekly Cleaning Service -$135
"Our weekly service is our most popular option — we come out every week to brush the pool, vacuum, test and balance your chemicals, empty the baskets, and make sure everything is running perfectly. It's completely hands-off for you all summer long."
*chemcials are included in our prices*
Best for: Customers who want a truly worry-free pool season and maximum water clarity.
OPTION 2 — Biweekly Cleaning Service -$175
"If you'd like some coverage but are comfortable doing a little maintenance in between, our biweekly service is a great fit. We come out every other week to do the full service — brush, vacuum, chemicals, and baskets — so you're never more than a week out from a professional visit."
Best for: Customers who want professional maintenance but like to stay involved with some upkeep themselves.
OPTION 3 — Monthly Cleaning Service-$195
"For customers who are experienced with pool care and mostly handle it themselves, we also offer a monthly service visit. We come out once a month to do a thorough check — test and balance your water, brush, vacuum, and make sure your equipment is looking good."
Best for: Experienced pool owners who prefer to manage day-to-day maintenance but want a professional check-in each month.
"Which of those sounds like it might be a good fit for you — weekly, biweekly, or monthly?"
(Note: Pricing for cleaning packages will be included in the formal quote. If the customer is not interested, thank them and continue to Step 5.)

STEP 5 — QUALIFY & COLLECT CONTACT INFORMATION
"Does that sound like it's in the ballpark of what you're looking for?"
IF YES:
"Perfect! I'd love to get a formal quote sent over to you with all the details. Can I grab the best phone number to reach you at, and an email address I can send that to?"
Phone: ______________________________
Email: ______________________________
IF HESITANT:
"No pressure at all — I can just send the quote over so you have the details in writing and can look it over whenever you have a chance. No obligation."

STEP 6 — CLOSE THE CALL
"One thing I'd mention — we do recommend getting on the schedule about 2 weeks before you want to be in the water. That gives us enough time to get everything balanced and looking great. And our schedule does fill up as the season gets closer, so it's definitely worth locking in sooner rather than later."
"I'll get that quote right over to you. Thanks so much for calling, [Customer Name] — we're looking forward to getting your pool ready for summer!"
